World Day of Prayer is an international, ecumenical, prayer movement initiated and carried out by Christian women in more than 180 countries and over 1000 languages. Every year, Christians of many traditions and all ages celebrate a common day of prayer on the first Friday in March.
This year's theme is "Receive children. Receive me". Let us pray for all children, especially those we encounter in our ministries of education, welfare, health and housing, that they may flourish in our care.
Let us pray for children suffering in immigration detention, in refugee camps, in circumstances of violence, war, poverty and abuse.
