St Francis Xavier

Considered as one of the greatest missionaries since St Paul, St Francis Xavier whose feast day is celebrated on the 3rd of December, was one of the first Companions of the Society of Jesus. This Jesuit missionary baptised tens of thousands in the faith over a ten-year period in Goa, east India, and Sri Lanka, and parts of modern-day Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Japan.
