Why Religious life?

What makes religious life an attractive vocation? The answer lies in the clarity and confidence of one’s religious identity and the joy found in mission with others towards a common purpose, writes Sister Annette Cunliffe, rsc.

Fr Paul Bird cssr, the congregational leader of The Redemptorists, has been appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as the 8th Bishop of Ballarat in Victoria. The announcement came the evening before the feast day of St Alphonsus Liguori, the founder of The Redemptorists.

A space for old and new stories

The Good Shepherd Chapel in Abbotsford, Melbourne reopened in July following two years of restoration works. The Chapel was designed by architect Mr Thomas A. Kelly, modelled on that of the mother house of the Good Shepherd Sisters in Angers, France.

The prophets in our midst
