National Children’s Commissioner launches report on children’s safety

children surveyAustralia’s National Children and Young People’s Commissioner, Megan Mitchell, has launched a report in Canberra that looked at children and young people’s views on safety in institutions, reports The Record.

This report, Taking Us Seriously: Children and young people talk about safety and institutional responses to their safety concerns, is part of a study being conducted by Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) Institute of Child Protection Studies (ICPS), in partnership with Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology.
