LCWR President featured in John Wallis Memorial Lectures

Sr Carol Zinn ssj 150The John Wallis Memorial Lectures in June 2015 will feature Sister Carol Zinn ssj, President of the Leaders Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) in the United States, who will speak on environmental sustainability and justice ("How do we work together across the planet, tackling poverty and caring for resources?").

Sr Carol is currently on the Leadership Team of the Sisters of St Joseph in Philadelphia and has served as an NGO Representative to the United Nations, on behalf of 15,000 religious sisters and thousands of associates serving in 57 countries. Her work has led her to view poverty as the most serious environmental issue on the planet.

The lectures are to take place on June 10th in Melbourne, June 17th in Launceston and June 18th in Hobart and in Whyalla, with the dates and venues to be confirmed.

The John Wallis Foundation continues the work of the Missionary Sisters of Service and is named in honour of their founder, Fr John Wallis.
