pacific climate houses2The Marist Province committee for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPICC) has drawn attention to a new web site highlighting the plight of Pacific and other maritime countries in the face of climate change.

Pacific Climate Watch is an intercongregational voice on climate change and an initiative of combined religious groups, including Marists. Due to the connection and concern for the people in the region and from witnessing first-hand the effects of climate change and rising sea levels on the health and future of these vulnerable people, these religious communities advocate for their concerns.

You are invited to collaborate with the Pacific Calling Partnership, the movement behind this advocacy.

Whilst still in a stage of development, visit the site and watch out for more updates and resources: http://pacificclimatewatch.com.au.

This piece was based on an update published on 15 March at the website of the Marist Fathers Australian Province.
