peoplesmarch2014In September, world leaders are coming to New York City for a UN summit on the climate crisis. An unprecedental global mobilisation will take place over the weekend of 21 September to peacefully take to the streets and demand that world leaders take action on climate change. Join in solidarity with the People's March through events happening across Australia.

The People’s Climate March, with its main mobilisation in New York City, is being organized by an ever-growing coalition that comprises more than 1,000 organizations demanding world leaders take action to combat climate change. Because this is a “movement of movements” moment, the People’s Climate March is being organized in a participatory, open-source model.

The march is committed to principles of environmental justice and equality — representing the communities that are being hit the hardest by climate change.
