Banks, Super Funds and managed funds have significant investments in coal, oil and gas extraction and infrastructure, even where members have chosen ethical investment options.

Thea Ormerod, Chair of Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC), invites us to seriously consider divestment from fossil fuels. Divestment involves moving your money, individually or communally, out of fossil fuels in a staged and deliberate way.

Fossil fuels are destructive for Creation. Fossil fuel industries are making the planet uninhabitable.

Thea invites us to divest from fossil fuels, an ethical action in its own right, and to make public our decision, thus sending a message about the destructiveness of fossil fuels for Creation.
