homeless young man 150A publication by the Josephite Justice Network, Writing Rings for righting wrongs, explores the issue of housing affordability in its April 2017 edition.

This resource offers discussion and reflection points particularly in the lead up to the publication of the Australian budget in May 2017 or provides a social justice context to assess the budget. It offers useful background information on housing affordability in Australia and urges us to consider this issue through the lens of Catholic social teaching, particularly through Pope Francis' words, "to ensure that humanity is served by wealth and not ruled by it”.

This two-page publication is presented in the context of tax reform, housing stock, mortgage stress and homelessness, as well as offering a call to action for Australians.
