apw-logo-2015Anti-Poverty Week is a week where all Australians are encouraged to organise or take part in an activity aiming to highlight or overcome issues of poverty and hardship, established in Australia as an expansion of the UN's annual International Anti-Poverty Day on October 17.

In 2015 Anti Poverty Week will be held from the 11th to the 17th of October.

Anti-Poverty Week aims to:

- Strengthen public understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and hardship around the world and in Australia; and

- Encourage research, discussion and action to address these problems, including action by individuals, communities, organisations and governments.
