A form of modern day slavery, human trafficking threatens the dignity of persons. It is found in every nation in which the trafficker’s abuse of power plays on the vulnerability of the trafficked person through the use of deception, threats, fraud, abduction, violence, and other forms of psychological coercion for the principal purpose of sex work, forced labor, domestic servitude, and commercial services. It is second largest criminal activity in the world exceeded only by the illegal drug trade.

Through its video, I Am Miriam, seeks to underscore that women and girls face disproportionately higher risks of being trafficked.

Visit Against Humanity for resources on how to spot human trafficking, get information and scripture to reflect upon and find ways to help end human trafficking.
